About Terra Harmony

Terra Author PhotoI am an eco-fantasy author of both New Adult and Young Adult books.

The Akasha Series is a set of four contemporary eco-fantasy novels.  The full series, ‘Water’, ‘Air’, ‘Fire’, and ‘Earth’ are available in multiple ebook format, in print, and as audio books.  Be sure to look for the boxed set; ‘The Akasha Saga’ now with bonus content!

The Kindred Curse Anthology is a series of five vampire short stories, set as prequels to each other.  It is now available as one complete collection.

My next release is a young adult series called ‘The Painted Maidens Trilogy‘. Mermaids and werewolves y’all!  The first of the series, ‘The Rising’, was released November 7th, 2013.

A little about me – I was born and raised in Colorado but have since lived in California, Texas, Utah, North Carolina and Virginia. I consider myself lucky to have seen most of the states, but that leaves most of the world yet to be seen!

I served a 5½ year enlistment in the Marine Corp, have a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and master’s degree in Linguistics.  I live in a suburb of Washington, DC with my husband of fourteen years and three children.

Interview with Maria Violante
Q: There were a few, well, adult passages in here!  Was that something you had to think about before including them in the novel?

A: For sure! In fact, I still debate taking them out and floating my book around the YA crowd. Maybe it would do better there. But the fact is, I’m not really sure I belong there as an author. I’m not sure it would be a sustainable career for me. So onward I go – sex scenes and all!

A.F. Stewart’s Interview with Terra Harmony
Q: What’s next for you?
A: An ice cream sandwich.  And then maybe just a few more hundred words before bedtime…

  1. Gregory S. Lamb - Author

Hey Terra – I stumbled on your blog after reading Facebook’s “Indie Exchange.” I just wanted to send an encouraging word to another veteran come “Indie” author. Though what you write isn’t a genre I normally read, I may have to take a peek. Lately I’ve been reading books by other independent writers in an effort to support their work.

Best of luck with the series. I’ll let you know my thoughts after reading. Oh, and I’m going to hit the “like” buttons for you, so if you’d reciprocate….

    • Hi Gregory – thanks for your words of encouragement! Always nice to hear from a fellow vet. I just liked your book on Amazon and your Facebook page. Good luck with your writing and self-pub journey!

Hey, Terra! Your name means earth! Did you know that? I love your books and am just getting into ‘fire.’ Also, anxiously awaiting next year’s ‘earth!’ too. Love your work and keep writing. george d. slouze

  3. Hi Terra – I know you’ve probably done one of these “Next Big Thing” tag games, so I thought maybe you could recycle as I’ve done. Info and rules are on my blog: http://gregorylambpdxauthor.wordpress.com/2013/01/21/the-next-big-thing-redux/

  4. Terra-
OMG i LOVE YOUR AKASHA SERIES!! Yes, im 13, i know, im young to be reading such themed books-luckily one of my older friends told me which parts to skip, what pages, etc, and I was able to enjoy all the books. It is literally my favorite series in the entire world. I love it so so so much and im glad i stumbled upon such a jewel. Thanks a ton for writing this! Ive read the entire series about…i dunno, 20 times? Once i was reading it in class and i burst out crying-so embarassing, but id go through that 100 more times if it meant i get to read the books again!
